Initially a Franco-Georgian friendship …

Following many trips to Georgia and given the interest of French travelers to this destination, Gil Cantinelli (French) and Sophiko Glonti (Georgian) decided to create, in 2014, the Franco-Georgian non profit organization called Gamarjoba. It aims to create events around Georgian culture and advise French travelers on their travel plans to Georgia.

Travel and cultural projects …

In 2018, after many events created (Aperitif of travelers, projection of films, Georgian meals, …) and dozens of travelers sent to Georgia, they decide to invest more deeply in the growing tourist activity in Georgia by creating the first online and french speaking guide about Georgia: Destination Georgie. This guide lists and values Georgian tourism and hostelling stakeholders and offers travelers the chance to share their own good travel plans in Georgia …

In 2019, to encourage the discovery of Georgian culture, they create a general site, Culture Geo and a site on the great Georgian gastronomy, Georgian Cuisine, and work on multimedia projects to convey a positive and modern image of the country …

Towards more sustainable tourism?

Noting a meteoric evolution of tourism in Georgia and, by passion for its landscapes and its people, they wish above all to value the tourist initiatives which work for a sustainable economic and social development and which preserve the rich natural diversity of Georgia to the maximum.

To perpetuate and allow the creation of these new initiatives respectful of people and their environment, they decide to participate in the search for funding and support new initiatives.

New goals, new association

The initial object of the association Gamarjoba being exceeded, they then decide to transform it into a new association … “Bonjour Géorgie” (“Hello Georgia”) is created in March 2019.
